How to Add PickupPal Bot to Your WhatsApp Group
Follow these simple steps to get PickupPal working in your WhatsApp group and start organizing games instantly!
1. Get the Bot's Number
First, you'll need the PickupPal bot's WhatsApp number:
+1 (650) 220-5416Note: Make sure to save this number in your contacts for easy access.
2. Add the Bot to Your Group
To add the bot to your WhatsApp group:
- Open your WhatsApp group chat
- Tap the group name at the top
- Select "Add participants"
- Search for the PickupPal bot's number
- Select the bot and tap "Add"
Note: If you don't have access to add contacts, you may need to ask the Group Admin.
3. Initial Setup
Once the bot is added to your group:
- Type
!!activateto begin the setup process - You will receive a confirmation message inside the group from PickupPal bot

4. Bot Commands
Here are the basic commands you can use:
!!creategame YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM AM/PM totalPlayers spot/city/state- Create a game!!help- Show all available commands!!showgame- Show current game and players in it!!join- Join the game created!!out- Leave the game created!!endgame- End the game that was created!!addguest name- Add guest to game, will be added to waitlist
5. Let's Make a Game
Here is an example of how to create a game for 20 people at Vista Montana Park, San Jose - CA at 10am on May 25th 2025:

- The bot does not need admin privileges in the current state
- Highlight the fact that the bot only will answer the commands
